Robert E. Smith

 

Robert E. Smith is of counsel with the Redmond, Washington law firm of Pacific NorthWest Law Group.  He received two degrees from the University of Washington; an undergraduate degree in psychology in 1964, and a graduate law degree in 1966.  The entirety of his professional career has been spent in the Greater Seattle area.

 

In 1976, he began representing a specialty hospital and its various programs.   From that time to the present, he has gradually but continually expanded the legal services he provides to an increasing number of health care providers and agencies.  Many of his health care clients are providers of behavioral health care services.

 

Mr. Smith is a frequent presenter at seminars for continuing legal education credits for attorneys and at seminars for continuing education credits for various groups of behavioral health care providers.  Sponsors have included the Washington State Bar Association, the Thurston County Superior Court, the Washington Law Institute, Lorman Education Services, Cascadia Training, and the Washington Mental Health Counselors Association.

 

Mr. Smith presents at continuing education seminars for attorneys and for DOH licensed health care providers.  He also conducts HIPAA trainings for health care agencies.  Mr. Smith's practice also includes general business law, estate administration and estate planning.
